VISION & MISSION

In 1996, the company under the name AE Botuyan Construction & Structural Consultancy (AEBCSC) was established as a consultancy firm providing professional engineering services in structural design and investigation, retrofitting works, foundation design and investigation, quality control for material. About two years later, due to the unprecedented growth of the company in soil testing, material testing and quality control, QSTS – Quality Soil Test & Solutions – was born as a separate entity, while AEBCSC continues to provide structural design and investigation services.

The late 1998 became a great milestone for AEBCSC in the field of geotechnical investigations and surveys. The company was commissioned to conduct geotechnical investigation on the 60+ bridges of the President’s SALAM Bridge Projects for the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM): these bridges are located in Sulu, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, Lanao, Zamboanga, and Cotabato provinces. Not much later the following year, the soil investigation went full steam for the DILG bridge projects in the other parts of the whole Mindanao.

While the bridge projects are on-going, in the year 2000, the company was again in the center of the advancing telecommunications industry. The company was entrusted to lead geotechnical investigation, including structural design and analysis of towers and foundations of the more than 200+ cell sites of Globe Telecom, under Ericsson Telecommunications, which are located through the entire Philippine archipelago –from the mountainous regions of Luzon to the archipelagic Visayas, and down to the challenging and remote sites in Jolo and Tawi-tawi.

Almost at the same time, the company was again privileged to have joined the expansion of SMART Communications in the Visayas and Mindanao areas. 500+ cell sites and still going-on is the company’s credit in terms of geotechnical investigation completed.

With the unprecedented expansion of real estate, agricultural, fishing, and maritime companies in the Mindanao region, port and marine terminal facilities are inevitably required. QSTS company was again in the forefront of geotechnical testing in this region. Dole-Asia, Sumifru, Chiquita-Unifrutti, TADECO for Del Monte, RD Fishing, MetaPhil, ECO-GLOBAL OILS, FUJITA for Mitsubishi Ship building, JETTI OILS, Maunsell, DMCI, ALSONS, Crown Communities, are some of the company’s clients in geotechnical investigations: off-shore tests for ports and harbors facilities and on-land for real estate developments.

In 2006, Qualitest Solutions & Technologies, Inc (QSTI) was formally incorporated and thus registered with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company continued to expand its services in the field of material testing for construction and research purposes. After acquiring the 4000-square meter property - on which the office, laboratory, and depot are now located – the equipments for testing are continually upgraded as well as the skills and capabilities of the technicians and engineers. Having the complete facilities for material testing and soil investigation, QSTI opened its doors, not only to the construction industry but also to the academe through partnership in terms of providing on-the-job-training of faculty and students and joint research, as part of the social responsibility envisioned by the company.

QSTI envisions not only to provide tests and investigations but also to recommend and/or provide technical solutions for foundation rehabilitation and ground improvement. Soil densification, slab jacking, compaction grouting, foundation lifting and foundation retrofitting are some of the solutions the company has provided to the clients in a safe and most economical way. Continuous collaboration with experts in the field as well as diligent research is one of company’s engine for growth in applying timely technical solutions to the clients.

The company is also part of the geo-environmental monitoring works for industrial developments such as fuel stations and depots through drilling and installation of monitoring wells for Chevron and Shell companies throughout Mindanao.
